First of all I’d like to say a big welcome to The Source website!

Here, we’ve clumped together a whole lot of information that we thought might be useful to you. You can read a little bit about us and our magazine, find out how to contact us for advertising or editorial concerns, open a digital copy of our latest magazine and enter some fabulous competitions that we’ll be running each week.

The Source is Al Ain’s first ever weekly news and events magazine, created to help keep residents and visitors alike up to date on what is happening in and around the city. We report on local and national news, write weekly sports reports, give you the lowdown on upcoming events and, generally, try to provide a little something for everyone!

We know how important education is to our readers so we dedicate a section of the magazine to this every week. We’ve visited lots of schools in the area, chatted to principals, met with the Abu Dhabi Educational Council, spoke to university students and professors and we compile all this information in the magazines, so you can stay familiar with what’s going on in the city’s education spectrum.

We’re also keen to publicize the achievements of nationals in the country. So many Emirati men and women are out there, utilizing the blessings bestowed upon them by the country’s great leaders. Each week, we meet with one such individual and you can read all about them, their personal life and any life lessons they have to share in our Al Majlis section.

Our feature story changes every week. Sometimes we look at current events, other times we focus on political issues or ongoing humanitarian campaigns. We chat to prominent local or national people, visit new places of interest in the county and generally try to give our readers a deeper insight into topics we think they’ll be interested in.

We also have our Stuff for Men column, where we focus on all things man-related; think gadgets, cars, sports etc. To balance this out, our Urban Woman column gives us girls some food for thought; focusing on fashion, interiors, beauty and a whole lot more. With our business page, we take a lighthearted look at different industry related issues and our My World feature (my personal favorite) whisks readers off to countless far flung destinations. In My Emirate, we look at different places of interest both in Al Ain and throughout Abu Dhabi.

There’s lots more than that but I don’t want to keep rambling on, so just keep an eye out for the magazine, with a brand new issue out every Thursday, pick up a copy and see for yourself what’s inside.

Our aim is to give you what you want so don’t hesitate to send us suggestions, get in touch with some comments or submit your own work for publication.
